Civil Rights Program Kosovo (CRP/K) together with UNHCR and in coordination with UNICEF, IOM and Authorities conducted one-day training on the topic “The practical implementation of the Guidelines for assessment and determination of the best interest of asylum seeking, refugee and migrant children”.
Introduction of the Guideline on BIA/BID and instructions on its practical implementation were aimed at ensuring protection for unaccompanied and separated children in a coordinated manner among relevant authorities. The beneficiaries were representatives of the Department of Citizenship, Asylum and Migration (DCAM), the Border Police, the Municipal Center of Social Work.
The quality of child protection has got an upgraded momentum with the finalization and adoption of the Guidelines on Best Interest Assessment and Best Interest Determination.
