  • Press Release: Civil Rights Program Kosovo (CRP/K) and Poradna pro občanství/Občanská a lidská práva, z.s. Host Successful Workcamps in Kosovo on Gender Issues.

CRP/K in cooperation with Poradna pro občanství/Občanská a lidská práva, z.s. from Czech Republic, proudly announces the successful completion of two transformative work camps held in Kosovo during June and September 2023. These work camps, organized in Guri Kuq and the Rugova mountains, have marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to address and mainstream gender issues and discrimination.

The first work camp took place in the beginning of June, where participants, including students of law, psychology, sociology, and political science, engaged in a range of topics such as gender mainstreaming, gender discrimination, media work, and case studies. A highlight of the work camp was a simulated case study on gender violence, engaging participants in developing argumentation, press releases, and strategic plans for follow-up campaigns.

In September, the second work camp focused on the strategic conception of gender issues. Divided into six groups, each team selected a gender-related topic, conducted thorough analysis, and devised strategies for the mainstreaming of their chosen issues.

These work camps provided a platform for young generation to not only learn and discuss important human rights issues but also to develop practical skills in strategic planning and advocacy. The organizers, CRP/K and Poradna, are proud of the outcomes of these camps and look forward to continuing their efforts in empowering the next generation of leaders in the field of gender equality and social justice.

CRPK and Poradna extend sincere gratitude to all the participants, facilitators, and supporters who made these work camps a success. We are committed to continuing our work in empowering individuals and communities to promote gender equality and challenge discrimination.
